A Productive Start to the Month

Wednesday, August 15, 2018 21:18 | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Since the monthly meeting on 2 September which was given over to demonstrating the processes involved in honey extraction and giving the new intake of foster parents the opportunity to get their hands 'sticky' it has been all go in extracting and processing the new season honey.

The processing tasks were supervised by David Hennessey our Vice President with members new and old dipping in to lend a hand.

There is always time for a chat and a cup of tea (bottom)

The Last stage in the processing took place at the Bee Academy today when a small team of volunteers labeled the eighty-eight 227g jars that were being prepared for sale on Saturday from the Newbattle Beekeepers' Association stall at the Cyrenians Midlothian Community Hospital Garden Open Day from 2.00 till 4.00pm. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
