For Enthusiastic Beekeepers Owning Bees

Heavily subsidised by the Scottish Rural Development Programme, Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund

These two day courses are aimed at enthusiastic beekeepers at all levels and will be held in various locations in Scotland including Newbattle Bee Academy.

Your tutors are Tony Harris, NDB and Ann Chilcott, both Scottish Expert Beemasters. The courses are limited to small groups and offer high quality training at an affordable price.


This includes lunch on both days of the course.

20 & 21 April - Swarm Control (Caithness)

25 & 26 May - Queen Rearing and Nucleus Creation (Elgin)

08 & 09 June - Intermediate Handling (South of Scotland)

20 & 21 July - Advanced Colony Manipulations (Elgin)

10 & 11 August -Honey Bees, Plants and Balanced Nutrition (Perth)

28 & 29 September - Honey Bee Behaviour (Newbattle)


Date to be arranged - Bee Farming - The Move from Hobbyist to Bee Farmer.
