Kate and Lorraine ready to make their first sale

Newbattle Abbey College held their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 24 November and Newbattle Beekeepers Association were able to play a significant part in the proceedings. We set up 'shop' in our new Bee Academy and had a full offering of  honey and bees wax products  including for the first time bees wax cloths made by members and bread boards made by Michaela Huber for sale. David H produced several varieties of his delicious tablet and Rosemary & Martin and their team of helpers served tea, coffee and home baking to our many visitors. Rosemary preparing the tray bakes

Jubin, Kimberly and Myriam looked after tombola and name the bee. Jubin & Kimberley look after the tombola stall

Peter Jack was busy as usual with candle rolling and Joyce brought her expert experience to the proceedings.  Peter prepare the wax for candle rolling

The honey, candles and other items for sale flew off the tables with Lorraine, Kate, Josefine and new member John behind the counter.

A very big thank you to all the helpers on the day and to those who were involved in making the preparations in the days preceding the Fair.
