Bees in Hives for Sale
Tony Harris is downsizing his operation and is selling about 50 colonies (final number depending on winter survival).
The bees will be in wooden National or Smith hives, some in double brood boxes, some brood and a half and some single brood and each hive will comprise the bees in the hive, 2 supers per hive, queen excluder and crown board.
The bees are very productive locally adapted crosses. Many of them came from Ian Craig in Renfrewshire 3 or 4 years ago, others from his own queen rearing operation.
He operates an integrated pest management system for varroa and the bees were treated with apivar strips in the autumn.
They will be available for collection from Moray (IV32 7PS) in March.
