A party from the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers made a visit to the recently opened Newbattle Bee Academy on Thursday 14 June 2018.

The Master along with 29 Liverymen and friends came to lunch and followed this by a visit to the Newbattle Beekeepers' Association apiary and a highlights tour of Newbattle Abbey.

The visit was organised as a thank you for their very generous donation to the Bee Academy refurbishment fund which they made in December of 2017. The Master presented the association with a number of books to add to the Bee Academy Library as a mark of their appreciation for arranging the visit.

The arrangements were made by committee member Neil Rutherford who is also a Liveryman of the Wax chandlers.
