Healthy Bees Project - Honey Bee Behaviour
Tony Harris NBD & Ann Chilcott
both Scottish Expert Beemasters
Explore honeybee behaviour in areas such as the population cycle, communication, foraging behaviour and organisation, workload, reproduction, and swarming. In each of these areas delegates will discuss what is understood of honeybee behaviour, and the factors that influence this behaviour, which will give delegates a greater understanding of the ‘colony mind’. Through understanding the natural behaviour of honeybees, delegates will be better prepared to predict and/or respond to their needs.
